BECOME A CHANGEMAKER AND GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY.

On the field of play your performances and medals inspire the nation, but did you know you could have an even bigger impact off the field of play?

ChangeMakers is a partnership between The National Lottery, Team GB, ParalympicsGB and UK Sport, and will help you maximise your impact after the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This is your chance to make a difference to a community you care about, pay it forward and play your part in ensuring future generations benefit from the same National Lottery and government funding support you’ve had.

You can do all this by becoming a ChangeMaker and reminding the public and politicians that high performance sport is not just about medals, it's so much more.

Athletes Bly Twomey and Will Bayley raise there arms in celebration in front of a group of people at Brighton Table Tennis Club.

THERE ARE THREE WAYS TO BECOME A CHANGEMAKER:

1. Community project matching

We match you to a project with a cause you care about and, with our help, you use your voice and platform to shine a light on its inspiring work.

This will be the main feature of The National Lottery's media campaign post Games, so it's not only a great opportunity to play your part, but also to benefit from their extensive reach and exposure.

2. The ChangeMakers fund

This fund gives you the opportunity to either try a social impact idea or scale an existing initiative you’re working on. More information coming soon, applications open after the Olympic Games.

3. Powered by Purpose – the ChangeMakers cohort

Powered by Purpose is a learning and development programme that will equip funded athletes, who medal at the Paris 2024 Games, with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to use their platform and voice for social change. More information coming in September.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY VOICE?

England Hockey player Tess Howard has used her platform to change uniform policies, making hockey a more inclusive sport. Watch her story below.

ChangeMakers has been made possible by Allwyn, the new operator of The National Lottery.

Using their annual £1m Social Value Fund, Allwyn will add value to existing funding and collaborate with partners to amplify the impact that The National Lottery has on high streets and communities.

The ‘ChangeMakers’ initiative is the first programme launched, made possible by around half of the annual fund, with further initiatives to be rolled out with different partners this summer.
